Inspiration
Decoct the medicine over a gentle fire.
All the wounds and sorrows,
Are more resplendent than the wildflowers.
"RIKHROD" was originally named "Aromatique".
The Chinese character "藥 (medicine)" is composed of the radical "艸 (herbs)" and "樂 (le)".
Bitterness is muted,
Desolation stoops low into the soil,
Yet there is such a sense of joy.
"RIKHROD", in the Tibetan language, means a place for spiritual cultivation in the mountains.
The fragrance inspired by traditional Chinese medicine was collected from a traditional Chinese medicine shop on the old streets of Lijiang in 1999.
Scent Profile
The opening pierces with coptis root's sharp, medicinal bitterness—an austere invocation of ancient prescriptions. Chinese herbal notes weave through the heart: the damp earthiness of dried roots, the camphoraceous chill of mountain herbs, and patchouli's fungal depth, like aged wooden drawers storing centuries of remedies. The drydown surprises—a ghost of honeyed astragalus and sun-warmed stones emerges, proving even the most bitter journeys can end in light.

Oh man, Rikhrod has this cool herbal vibe, it’s like a magic charm from the past! Lasted all day, even after my hawker food adventure 🍜😊
