As the emperor nears death, he yearns to hear the enchanting song of the nightingale one last time. Yet, the mechanical nightingale, crafted from cold gold and jade, has long since decayed. At that moment, a real nightingale outside the window begins to sing, driving away the spectre of death and soaring past the people's windows in harmony with the arrival of dawn.
